Overview

What this is

WatchDock centralizes movies and TV series across streaming platforms and rentals into one searchable hub, organized into Trending, Watchlist, Hub, Theater, and For You tabs. A quiz-driven 'decide together' flow sits on top, turning group indecision into a quick pick.

Solution

3 key points

01

Problem

Content is scattered across separate apps per platform, and picking something to watch as a couple or group usually means scrolling every app back and forth until someone gives up.

01

Content Scattered Across Apps

Movies and shows live in separate platform apps, so there's no single place to search or browse everything available to a user.

02

Group Decisions Stall Out

Deciding what to watch together usually means passing a phone back and forth with no structured way to land on a pick.

02

Solution

I designed a single hub for browsing across platforms, plus a lightweight quiz flow that turns picking a movie together into an actual feature instead of an afterthought.

01

Unified Movie & Series Hub

All Movies and All TV Series rails aggregate content in one searchable feed, with an 'all content' toggle to include rentals and other platforms.

02

Decide-Together Quiz

An onboarding-level quiz flow lets a couple or group answer a few prompts and land on a genre or pick instead of scrolling indefinitely.

03

Theater Release Calendar

A dated timeline of upcoming premieres keeps users ahead of what's landing next, not just what's already out.
